Support and Architecture &amp; Engineering sectors.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The data for the report was gathered from 5,000 of the country\u2019s largest recruiters, agencies, and employers who advertise job positions on the CareerJunction portal.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The data did highlight the sectors that showed the most significant hiring activity over the past three months, including Building &amp; Construction, Sales, and Business &amp; Management.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The growth numbers and most in-demand jobs within these notable sectors are listed below.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Building &amp; Construction (<mark style=\"background-color:rgba(0, 0, 0, 0)\" class=\"has-inline-color has-vivid-green-cyan-color\">+22%<\/mark>)<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Building Project Management.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Sales (<mark style=\"background-color:rgba(0, 0, 0, 0)\" class=\"has-inline-color has-vivid-green-cyan-color\">+7%<\/mark>)<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Representative \/ Sales Consulting.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Business &amp; Management (<mark style=\"background-color:rgba(0, 0, 0, 0)\" class=\"has-inline-color has-vivid-green-cyan-color\">+6%<\/mark>)<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Employee &amp; Industrial Relations;<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Executive Management \/ Director; and <\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Middle \/ Department Management.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Regional differences<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>CareerJunction also reported that recruitment per province in South Africa remained relatively stagnant over the quarter.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The group noted that Gauteng still offers most of South Africa\u2019s job opportunities (53%) as the country\u2019s economic hub.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The following 30% of job offers are in the Western Cape and KwaZulu-Natal (KZN) combined, while KZN saw a decline of 1% in recruitment compared to last month but still held the third largest percentage at 9%.<\/p>\n\n\n<div class=\"wp-block-image\">\n<figure class=\"aligncenter size-full\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" width=\"639\" height=\"440\" src=\"https:\/\/businesstech.co.za\/news\/wp-content\/uploads\/2023\/07\/Screenshot-2023-07-25-124919.png\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-706742\" srcset=\"https:\/\/businesstech.co.za\/news\/wp-content\/uploads\/2023\/07\/Screenshot-2023-07-25-124919.png 639w, https:\/\/businesstech.co.za\/news\/wp-content\/uploads\/2023\/07\/Screenshot-2023-07-25-124919-300x207.png 300w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 639px) 100vw, 639px\" \/><\/figure><\/div>\n\n\n<p class=\"has-medium-font-size\"><strong>Most in-demand sectors and roles in the first six months of 2023 <\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>CareerJunction also reported that recruitment numbers in South Africa over the first half of 2023 showed steady growth.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>&#8220;The first half of 2023 (H1:2023) showed stable growth in vacancies, indicating an improved level of employment compared to the last quarter of 2022,&#8221; said the agency. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>This was also confirmed by Stats SA\u2019s quarterly labour force survey (QLFS), which showed uptake in employment during Q1:2023, with 179,000 more employed people than there were in Q4:2022.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Looking at hiring activity, the <strong>most active job sectors over the last six months have been Business &amp; Management, Finance and Information Technology (IT), Admin, Office &amp; Support and Sales.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The growth numbers and most in-demand jobs within these notable sectors are listed below.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong><strong>Business &amp; Supervisor;<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Business Development; and<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Executive Management \/ Director.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Finance (<mark style=\"background-color:rgba(0, 0, 0, 0)\" class=\"has-inline-color has-vivid-green-cyan-color\">+15%<\/mark>)<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Financial \/ Project Accounting;<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Bookkeeping;<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Accounts Payable \/ Receivable;<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Purchasing &amp;
