{"id":71079,"date":"2014-10-16T17:18:29","date_gmt":"2014-10-16T15:18:29","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/businesstech.co.za\/news\/?p=71079"},"modified":"2014-10-16T17:18:29","modified_gmt":"2014-10-16T15:18:29","slug":"solidarity-keeping-a-close-watch-on-telkom","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/businesstech.co.za\/news\/telecommunications\/71079\/solidarity-keeping-a-close-watch-on-telkom\/","title":{"rendered":"Solidarity &#8220;keeping a close watch&#8221; on Telkom"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Union Solidarity says that it will &#8220;keep a close watch&#8221; on Telkom&#8217;s retrenchment process, after the company refused to retract termination letters sent to employees.<\/p>\n<p>Telkom is currently conducting a process whereby employees affected by the retrenchment process are placed in alternative positions.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cShould some of our members be forcefully retrenched, we will attend to each case individually.
