{"id":71233,"date":"2014-10-19T07:39:16","date_gmt":"2014-10-19T05:39:16","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/businesstech.co.za\/news\/?p=71233"},"modified":"2014-10-19T07:39:16","modified_gmt":"2014-10-19T05:39:16","slug":"sorry-steve-but-its-nothing-personal-fnb","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/businesstech.co.za\/news\/banking\/71233\/sorry-steve-but-its-nothing-personal-fnb\/","title":{"rendered":"Sorry, Steve, but it&#8217;s nothing personal: FNB"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>FNB has fallen short of apologising to its banking customers who have the name &#8220;Steve&#8221;, for using the moniker mockingly in its latest ad campaign.<\/p>\n<p>FNB faced mild backlash over social media &#8211; mostly from persons with the name Steve &#8211; for its latest ad campaign which advises customers not to be &#8220;a Steve&#8221;.<\/p>\n<p>&#8220;A Steve&#8221; is a banking customer who is, effectively, someone who is not banking with FNB.
