Telkom CEO Sipho Maseko has announced the relocation of the company\u2019s Pretoria Towers campus to its facility in Centurion.<\/p>\n
In an email to staff, Maseko said that Telkom needs to re-engineer its existing asset base, with a \u201cneed to re-optimise the space\u201d.<\/p>\n
He said that Project Reconnect is the required action. \u201cIt involves the consolidation of the Pretoria and Centurion teams which will require the relocation of the Pretoria Towers campus to our facility in Centurion,\u201d said Maseko.<\/p>\n
The Telkom CEO said that the long-term benefits were undeniable, both from a team cohesion and cost efficiency perspective.<\/p>\n
Maseko warned staff that the move will result in discomfort over the short term. \u201cCreating a new, modern campus in Centurion will, among other things, require renovations to existing buildings,\u201d said Maseko.<\/p>\n
\u201cThis move gives momentum to our turnaround strategy and will strengthen our ability to be more dynamic, more engaged and more focused on serving our customers,\u201d he added.<\/p>\n
\u201cSome short term pain will be rewarded with the long term gain of a whole new level of Telkom unity and much improved cost efficiency,\u201d Maseko said.<\/p>\n
