RT15 contract with the South African government.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>This RT15 partnership means that MTN as an official mobile communication provider for the state, and it is in this capacity that MTN is a key attendee at SITA\u2019s ongoing GovTech conference.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li><a also represented in the speaker list by the following experts:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>These speakers will discuss why MTN believes it is important to work with the South African government on key ICT projects.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>They will also unpack how MTN can continue to grow the range of services it delivers as an official mobile provider to the state.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>MTN\u2019s collaboration with SITA<\/strong><\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p>MTN is proud of the numerous successes it has had while working with SITA.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>An example of this is that it currently delivers connectivity that the Department of Home Affairs uses to support a wide range of its most important operations.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>This includes delivering connectivity that is used by the department\u2019s mobile trucks, at ports of entry, and by 302 clinics across South Africa.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The Department of Home Affairs also receives lots of backhaul connectivity options from MTN, including:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>LTE Services<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>VSAT<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Flat panel antennae<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Fibre<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>A powerful relationship<\/strong><\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p>MTN\u2019s partnership with SITA over the past five years has also included the provision of a layer-2 transmission network that forms an important part of the SITA Core Network.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>As part of this project, MTN has played a key role in stabilizing the SITA Core Network\u2019s 55 sites, and it has delivered significant redundancy, too.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Furthermore, MTN helped SITA refresh its old equipment \u2013 reducing the number of faults or repairs needed to keep its core network running smoothly.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Moving forward, MTN is excited about the possibilities of working with SITA to deliver more digital solutions that help the South African government improve service delivery nationwide.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><a
