LinkedIn has released its list of the world’s 100 most InDemand employers in 2014<\/a>, revealing the global companies people would most like to work for.<\/p>\n

The list shows that the tech telecom and media sector is the most desired field, with big tech and electronics companies taking up six of the top 10 positions.<\/p>\n

Media and internet giant, Google is ranked as the number one most desired employer in the world, followed by technology firm, Apple and consumer goods company, Unilever.<\/p>\n

Microsoft and social media giant Facebook round off the top five, with Amazon, Procter and Gamble, General Electric, Nestle and PepsiCo completing the top ten.<\/p>\n

The list is compiled through data and interactions acquired from over 300 million LinkedIn users. The professional network said it analysed over 10 billion data points to reach its findings.<\/p>\n

According to LinkedIn, after tech and telecoms, the retail and consumer products sector is the second most desired field, with oil and energy taking the third position.<\/p>\n

63 of the 100 companies are found in the USA, and 15% of the companies listed have under 5,000 employees.<\/p>\n

The Bill and Melinda Gates Foundation (46th) is the smallest company listed, with only 1,622 employees.<\/p>\n

IBM (ranked 100th) is the biggest company listed, with approximately 382,000 employees.<\/p>\n
