{"id":718664,"date":"2023-09-15T05:59:00","date_gmt":"2023-09-15T03:59:00","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/businesstech.co.za\/news\/?p=718664"},"modified":"2023-09-15T06:26:30","modified_gmt":"2023-09-15T04:26:30","slug":"eskom-pulls-back-from-the-edge","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/businesstech.co.za\/news\/energy\/718664\/eskom-pulls-back-from-the-edge\/","title":{"rendered":"Eskom pulls back from the edge"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p>Power utility Eskom says that an improvement in generation capacity has allowed it to pull back from stage 6 load shedding, with outages downgraded for Friday.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Due to the slight improvement in generation capacity and lower demand, stage 5 load shedding will be implemented from 06h00 on Friday (15 September) until further notice, it said.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>This marks the first de-escalation of load shedding this week, after the group shifted the dial upwards on outages several times a day on Wednesday, ending up at stage 6.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>South Africa has not yet moved beyond stage 6 load shedding schedules nationally;
