suspends load shedding &#8211; but not for everyone"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p>Eskom says load shedding has been suspended in the Eastern and Western Cape coastal areas, while the rest of the country is still subjected to stage 3 load shedding. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Eskom said that the widespread damage caused to electricity infrastructure caused by the flooding in the Western and Eastern Cape coastal areas is the reason for the suspension in load shedding, as it will allow the technical teams to restore supply to the areas safely. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Eskom said that permanent stage 3 load shedding will continue in all other areas across the country until further notice.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The embattled power utility said that it would communicate if any other significant changes occur. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Yesterday, 24 September, Eskom was almost able to go a full day without load shedding but was forced to escalate to stage 3 at 20h00 after three generating units failed, with the utility also unable to replenish its reserves. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Eskom had initially intended for load shedding to be suspended for the entirety of the long weekend, with rolling blackouts to restart on Tuesday, 26 September. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Schedules&nbsp;<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>For people living in the major metros, load shedding schedules are available here:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul
