Opel South Africa has confirmed that the new Opel Corsa will be launched in mid-2024. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

The hatchback comes with updated exterior styling and improved standard equipment. While the rest of the world will soon see the first Opel with a 48-volt hybrid system, South Africa will not be getting the mild-hybrid drivetrain or the two fully-electric Corsa options. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

However, Opel has hinted that low-emission vehicles may be considered for the South African market in the future. The updated Corsa retains the same engine as the current model, with a single 1.2-litre turbocharged engine with two output levels. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

The new Corsa features Opel’s new “Vizor” design concept, which is also used in models such as the Grandland and Mokka. The front fascia has been redesigned with a gloss black panel that connects the two headlight clusters, and the headlights themselves feature a new light signature. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

The front bumper and air intakes have also been updated, and at the rear, the model lettering has been placed on the tailgate. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

The updated Corsa comes with a new Flank Guard system, which gives audio-visual warnings if the side of the car could touch an object. Other features include:<\/p>\n\n\n\n
