Major South African corporations are searched every month as thousands of South Africans try to find new working opportunities. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Recently<\/a>, Switch on Business<\/a> said that Capitec was the most searched employer in South Africa, with the company analysing good search volume data for employment opportunities across the globe using Ahrefs Keyword Explorer.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The companies in each country are then ranked based on the number of monthly searches plus the keyword “careers.” <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Initially, Switch on Business only provided the top company per country, with Capitec getting 25,000 monthly searches. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Despite originally only using the top-ranked company for each country, Capitec was still notably the sixth most searched employer in the world:<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Top ten South African companies<\/strong> <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Since its initial release, Switch on Business has provided BusinessTech with the top ten companies in South Africa. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Following Capitec in second place is Standard Bank, with 18,000 monthly searches. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Major retailer The Foschini Group (TFG) is a close third with 17,000 monthly searches. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Another bank in Absa (16,000) takes the fourth spot, whilst Sasol (15,000) completes the top five. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

FNB and Transnet then are then tied with 14,000 searches per month apiece. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Healthcare and insurance then complete the top ten, with Discovery (12,000), Mediclinic (11,000) and Old Mutal (9,600) following. <\/p>\n\n\n\n
