{"id":732709,"date":"2023-11-22T06:30:32","date_gmt":"2023-11-22T04:30:32","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/businesstech.co.za\/news\/?p=732709"},"modified":"2023-11-22T06:30:32","modified_gmt":"2023-11-22T04:30:32","slug":"game-unveils-incredible-playstation-5-black-friday-deal-with-a-catch","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/businesstech.co.za\/news\/black-friday\/732709\/game-unveils-incredible-playstation-5-black-friday-deal-with-a-catch\/","title":{"rendered":"Game unveils incredible PlayStation 5 Black Friday deal &#8211; with a catch"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p>Massmart-owned retailer <a href=\"https:\/\/www.game.co.za\/event\/black-friday\/?utm_campaign=BlackFriday&amp;utm_medium=DealMention&amp;utm_source=BusinessTech&amp;utm_term=November2023\"><strong>Game<\/strong><\/a> has announced that it will be offering a PlayStation 5 console for R6,499 on Black Friday.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>However, the deal is only available online, and only to ten shoppers.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The retailer will go live with the deal after a second after midnight on Black Friday (24 November), where the first ten customers &#8211; the quickest to pull the trigger &#8211; can use a special code to receive the discount.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The code will be published on the group&#8217;s social media channels.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>&#8220;This will be limited to one console per customer and one code checkout to ensure a fair chance to all ten shoppers with the quickest fingers,&#8221; the group said.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Katherine Madley, Massmart\u2019s Vice President of Marketing said that the PlayStation 5 console continues to be in high demand in Game stores. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The console currently has a retail price of R13,799, but PlayStation itself is running a Black Friday promotion that has marked it down at various retailers to R11,999 &#8211; a discount of 13%.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The Game promotion takes another 46% off the already discounted price for ten customers.
