[<a rel=\"noreferrer noopener\" href=\"https:\/\/www.businesslive.co.za\/bd\/national\/2023-11-30-cabinet-is-expected-to-discuss-new-energy-plan-next-week-says-mantashe\/\" target=\"_blank\">Business Day<\/a>]<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<hr class=\"wp-block-separator has-alpha-channel-opacity\"\/>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li><strong>SAA corruption reveal:<\/strong>&nbsp;South African Airways (SAA) has been plagued by corruption over the past decade, including a R375 million tender for tyres and R85 million for airport lounge catering. There were also corrupt payments between SAA\u2019s subsidiaries, employees, and the board worth R1.8 billion.&nbsp;This was revealed by the head of the SIU in a presentation to Parliament\u2019s Standing Committee on Public Accounts (Scopa).&nbsp;[<a rel=\"noreferrer noopener\" href=\"https:\/\/dailyinvestor.com\/south-africa\/38976\/saa-corruption-r375-million-for-tyres-and-r85-million-for-catering\/\" target=\"_blank\">Daily Investor<\/a>]<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<hr class=\"wp-block-separator has-alpha-channel-opacity\"\/>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li><strong>Green light for KZN beaches:<\/strong>&nbsp;Durban beaches are clear of high levels of E coli pollution and open for swimming as the city braces for a bumper festive season. However, there are still high levels detected in the river systems, and businesses are hoping the dry El Ni\u00f1o weather pattern keeps the  E coli detected in river water from washing into the sea. On Friday (1 December), the rand was trading at R18.84 to the dollar, R23.81 to the pound and R20.54 to the euro. Oil is trading at $82.83 a barrel.
