Gauteng is South Africa’s mall capital, and two developments are currently set to open this year. <\/p>\n\n\n\n
Although Gauteng is the smallest province in the country and houses 27% of the population, its 1,800 monitored malls mean that it has 50% of the nation’s shopping centres stops and 32% of total mall visit time. <\/p>\n\n\n\n
This is according to Lightstone, which also noted that Gauteng has 13 of the country’s 20 most visited malls each month, with Mall of Africa in Midrand being the busiest mall in the country. <\/p>\n\n\n\n
