Eskom says that there is a low risk of rolling blackouts happening this week, according to Bloomberg.<\/p>\n
The struggling power utility said that load-shedding over the weekend allowed it to refuel some of its capacity.<\/p>\n
Eskom declared a power emergency over the past weekend, after losing 1700MW of generating power. The utility implemented stage two load-shedding across the country.<\/p>\n
\u201cWe are certainly taking strain and we apologize to our customers, we know there has been a lot of frustration,\u201d Eskom spokesman, Andrew Etzinger, said on SAfm.<\/p>\n
Etzinger said further that preservation measures put thje group in a position where “in the coming week we\u2019ve got a good chance of coming through without load-shedding, despite quite a lot of pressure from out supply chain.\u201d<\/p>\n
The company tweeted late on Sunday evening that the probability for load shedding would low during the day on Monday, with a possible increased risk during the evening peak, 5pm to 10pm.<\/p>\n
