Ford has officially announced the South African specs for the new Territory SUV scheduled to arrive in the second quarter of 2024 \u2013 with a starting price of R610,000.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

TopAuto reported<\/a> that the Territory is intended to be a \u201cvolume seller\u201d that bridges the gap between the Puma crossover and the seven-seater Everest, according to the company.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

In addition to the Territory, Ford previously noted that other new models, such as the new Ranger Tremor and Platinum, Tourneo Custom and Transit Custom vans, and the all-new Mustang and Mustang Dark Horse, are slated to be introduced to South Africa.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Features<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

As outlined by TopAuto, the Territory will be sold in three specifications \u2013 Ambiente, Trend, and Titanium.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The base model is expected to come with full LED lights, silver longitudinal roof bars, and 18-inch alloy wheels. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

In contrast, the range-topper is further treated with 19-inch alloys, electric side mirrors with courtesy lamps, and chrome appliqu\u00e9s on the door sides.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The Territory will come as standards with a 7-inch digital driver\u2019s display, a urethane multifunction steering wheel, keyless entry and start, rear-seat air vents, and a 12-inch central infotainment unit supporting wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto connectivity.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The Territory also comes standard with cruise control, rear parking sensors, traction control, emergency brake assist, electronic stability control, electronic brake-force distribution, tyre-pressure monitoring, and six airbags.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The top-end model features electric front seats, a 12-inch instrument cluster, a panoramic sunroof, a wireless charger, an electric tailgate, dual-zone climate control, ambient lighting, and interior wall lights in \u201cwood colour\u201d.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The flagship model also includes a 360-degree camera program, autonomous emergency braking, adaptive cruise control with Stop&Go, lane-change assistant, front parking sensors, automatic high beams, and forward-collision alert, said TopAuto.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Performance<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

The SUV measures 4,630mm long, 1,935mm in width, and stands 1,706mm tall. It has a ground clearance of 190mm, providing a boot capacity of 448 litres.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Ford South Africa has officially announced that the Territory SUV will be available in the local market with a 1.8-litre turbo-petrol engine that can deliver 140 kW of power and 320 Nm of torque paired with a seven-speed automatic transmission.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

More information on the new Ford Territory such as its finalizing price point for each specification will be announced closer to its launch date in the second quarter of 2024, noted TopAuto.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
