FNB has announced a new partnership with Spar, allowing FNB Private customers to earn eBucks on their purchases at Spar stores.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
In a statement released on Thursday (1 February), the bank announced it had added the grocery retailer to its list of partners \u2013 joining other outlets like Shoprite and Checkers, Takealot, Engen, and Clicks.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u201cFNB Private Clients, Private Wealth and RMB Private Bank clients will earn up to 15% back in eBucks when they shop in-store at Spar, Superspar, Kwikspar and Tops using their qualifying FNB or RMB Private Bank virtual cards,\u201d the bank said.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
“Through collaborations with partners such as Spar, expanding FNB’s partner ecosystem makes it easier and convenient for our clients to stretch their wallets, especially during these challenging economic times,\u201d said FNB Private Segment CEO Sizwe Nxedlana.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
“With over 2500 SPAR stores nationwide, we remain committed to offering our customers value-for-money items, and as part of our business practice, we continue to adapt to the evolving economic landscape to cater to this need,” said Spar Group\u2019s Omnichannel Executive, Blake Raubenheimer.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
The bank noted that its eBucks would work alongside the Spar Rewards card, which gives access to monthly deals and promotions across a range of essential products to help customers with cost savings within their budgets. <\/p>\n\n\n\n
“As a result, we’re pleased to provide customers with more ways to earn their rewards through our collaboration with eBucks,\u201d said Raubenheimer.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
“Our challenging economy, coupled with the increased cost of living, informed our decision to expand the catalogue of eBucks rewards\u2019 grocery partners and benefits,\u201d said Zamabomvu Ngubane, FNB eBucks Rewards Head.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Paying with a physical card will only earn them up to 1% of their purchase value back in eBucks, while virtual card earning rates start at 1% and go up to 15%, depending on the customer\u2019s reward level.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Customers must use their FNB app or a linked digital wallet like Apple Pay, Samsung Pay, or Garmin Pay on a smartphone or smartwatch to make payments with a virtual card.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
FNB added that clients cannot earn eBucks at Spar Express, Pharmacy @ Spar, or Savemor store.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
