ICT group Datatec says that its subsidiary, Logicalis Group, has signed agreements to acquire German based firm Inforsacom.<\/p>\n
Inforsacom is a provider of database, storage and infrastructure solutions and services with operations across the major economic centres of Germany.<\/p>\n
The acquisition will significantly enhance Logicalis\u2019 scale and capabilities in the German ICT market, Datatec said.<\/p>\n
Inforsacom has an annual turnover of approximately $140 million and employs 160 staff.<\/p>\n
Datatec CEO, Jens Montanana, said: \u201cThe acquisition of Inforsacom creates a larger platform with broader ICT services capabilities to augment Logicalis\u2019 existing German operations, in line with the strategy of growing our presence in Europe.\u201d<\/p>\n
The acquisition is subject to the approval by the German Competition Authorities and the South African Reserve Bank and is expected to be finalised in January 2015.<\/p>\n
