shedding easing to stage 3 this week"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p>Power utility Eskom says that load shedding will be downgraded to stage 3 on Wednesday &#8211; with Stage 5 remaining in effect until then.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Stage 5 load shedding will continue on Monday (12 Febraury) until 05h00 on Tuesday, when outages will move to stage 3.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Stage 3 will be in effect between 05h00 and 16h00, before moving back up to stage 4 in the evening until 05h00 on Wednesday, when stage 2 will kick in again.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>This pattern of stage 3 during the day and stage 4 at night will continue until further notice.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Monday, 12 February<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Stage 5: until 00h00<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Tuesday, 13 05h00<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Stage 3: 05h00 to 16h00<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Stage 4: 16h00 to 00h00<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p>Eskom said that it has returned five generating units to service over the past 24 hours, allowing emergency reserves to be adequately replenished.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Breakdowns have been reduced to 14,579MW of generating capacity, while the capacity out of service for planned maintenance remains relatively high at 7,316MW. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The group said that its teams are working to restore 2,150MW of generating capacity by
