The SA National Roads Agency Limited (Sanral) is amending regulations to the e-tolls legislation, The Star newspaper reported on Thursday.<\/p>\n

The transport department issued a notice in the Gazette which gave the public until December 27 to comment on the changes.<\/p>\n

The amendments would ensure that foreign road users — motorists not licensed in South Africa — also had to pay e-tolls, and extended the period Sanral had to send an invoice to motorists, it reported.<\/p>\n

At the moment, Sanral had 32 days to send an invoice, but this would be extended to 60 days.<\/p>\n

Another proposed change was that Sanral keep a register to record all transactions of motorists who used the roads, including users who were not registered.<\/p>\n
