{"id":751702,"date":"2024-02-14T13:41:23","date_gmt":"2024-02-14T11:41:23","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/businesstech.co.za\/news\/?p=751702"},"modified":"2024-02-14T13:41:54","modified_gmt":"2024-02-14T11:41:54","slug":"eskom-announces-permanent-stage-3-load-shedding-until-further-notice","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/businesstech.co.za\/news\/energy\/751702\/eskom-announces-permanent-stage-3-load-shedding-until-further-notice\/","title":{"rendered":"Eskom announces permanent stage 3 load shedding until further notice"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p>Power utility Eskom says that load shedding will remain on stage 3 after it managed to replenish its emergency reserves.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Eskom said it is gradually returning its generating units to service, and with sufficient emergency reserves, load shedding will remain at Stage 3 from 16:00 today (Wednesday 14 February) until further notice. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Eskom had previously communicated that Stage 4 load shedding would be implemented at 16:00 today. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The utility added that its power station managers will continue to work around the clock to return more generating units to service and improve the available capacity. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The evening peak demand for tonight is anticipated to be around 26,701MW.
