UK-based Pret A Manger, aka Pret, will launch in South Africa, with the first store coming to Johannesburg<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Pret currently operates roughly 650 shops in 18 countries, and there are huge expansion places for South Africa over the next decade. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

The Millat Group has signed a deal with Pret for the exclusive licence to operate Pret stores in Southern Africa. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Millat said that the deal forms part of its long-term strategy to expand into the sector by offering customers access to organic and sustainable food offerings. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

The first Pret is set to open in Johannesburg, with additional shops set to open in other tactical locations within the nation’s key cities, such as Cape Town, Durban, and Pretoria. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Pret offers a wide-ranging menu that includes sandwiches, salads, wraps, baked goods and snacks, as well as vegetarian and vegan options. There is also a wide array of organic coffees, teas and other hot and cold beverages. <\/p>\n\n\n\n
