Altech Autopage Cellular, a wholly-owned subsidiary in the telecommunications division of Allied Technologies <\/a>(Altech, ALT), has announced its merger with sister company, Altech Technology Concepts.<\/p>\n

The latter is a provider of physical network links, Internet access, managed services and cloud-based services to the business and consumer markets.<\/p>\n

Current MD at Altech Autopage Cellular (AAPC), Boyd Chislett<\/a>, has been appointed as the chief executive of the integrated organisation, whilst Wayne de Nobrega<\/a>, the current CEO of Altech Tech Concepts (ATC), will be taking up a strategic advisory position, working closely with Chislett and the executive team.<\/p>\n

\u201cThis is a positive move for both Altech Autopage Cellular (AAPC) and Altech Technology Concepts (ATC) as the new entity is able to leverage off the respective strengths of each and is able to offer customers, in both the business and consumer segments, with a single service provider for a variety of world-class services ranging from voice, to data, to hosting, to cloud computing,\u201d continued Chislett.<\/p>\n

\u201cNo longer will customers have to put up with different service providers when they require voice, internet and data solutions. And when something goes wrong, they won\u2019t be pushed from pillar to post as one service provider blames the other for a lack of services,\u201d said de Nobrega.<\/p>\n

\u201cOur new company will be their single point of contact for all their services,\u201d he added.<\/p>\n

The convergence will result in Altech Autopage Cellular owning 100% of Altech Technology Concepts, and is a rare occurrence amongst ICT companies in a country, where the business of \u2018connections\u2019 is on full acceleration.<\/p>\n

\u201cThis convergence with ATC, creates a more diversified portfolio of product offering, and places us on a stronger commercial platform, as well as allowing us to leverage the already growing retail, business and partner distribution channels\u201d said Chislett.<\/p>\n

\u201cLeveraging on each other\u2019s infrastructure, new ground will be covered, providing innovative networked information technology services,\u201d concluded De Nobrega.<\/p>\n

The acquisition process chosen by both companies created a variety of new portfolios within which all employees will be integrated without any job losses.<\/p>\n

The convergence of the two companies will create a locally-empowered business, with the requisite commercial breadth to be a leader in the rapidly growing telecommunications and information technology industry.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
