{"id":762229,"date":"2024-03-20T15:44:00","date_gmt":"2024-03-20T13:44:00","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/businesstech.co.za\/news\/?p=762229"},"modified":"2024-03-20T15:45:08","modified_gmt":"2024-03-20T13:45:08","slug":"eskom-to-suspend-load-shedding-for-the-rest-of-the-week","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/businesstech.co.za\/news\/energy\/762229\/eskom-to-suspend-load-shedding-for-the-rest-of-the-week\/","title":{"rendered":"Eskom to suspend load shedding for the rest of the week"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p>Power utility Eskom says that anticipated lower demand for the rest of the week means it can suspend load shedding heading into the weekend.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Load shedding will be <strong>suspended from 05h00 on Thursday<\/strong>, the group said.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The drop in demand is likely tied to the public holiday on Thursday (21 March), with many businesses likely to close or scale back operations on Friday.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Given historical trends, load shedding is likely to return once demand picks up again in the new week.
