Chinese automaker Foton announced that it will launch the new Tunland G7 in South Africa’s double-cab segment on June 25, 2024.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The bakkie is part of a bigger expansion plan, Foton notes, and it will be joined by several other vehicles in South Africa.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

These include the Miler, View, eView, eAumark, and eTruckmate. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

To distribute these, the company has partnered with Combined Motor Holdings (CMH) Group, which operates a network of 40 dealerships nationwide.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Mandarin Parts Distributors will also provide after-sales support to new customers through their local parts warehouse.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

“Expanding into the South African market is a significant milestone for Foton, and we are excited to bring our innovative, reliable, and eco-friendly transportation solutions to customers throughout the region,” said Marius Smal, CEO of Foton South Africa.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

This double cab has a premium appearance and is promised to be priced affordably compared to its competitors.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The G7 model in the Philippines comes equipped with a 2.0-litre turbocharged diesel engine that can produce 120kW power and 390Nm torque.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
