Management professionals are most likely to work remotely, with one of five remote workers operating in the sector. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>According to Pnet&#8217;s latest Job Market Trends Report, hiring activity improved in April after a poor start to the year. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>April 2024 was the best April for the past three years, with year-on-year hiring activity increasing by 4%. <\/p>\n\n\n<div class=\"wp-block-image\">\n<figure class=\"aligncenter size-full\"><a  data-lightbox=\"post-image\" href=\"https:\/\/businesstech.co.za\/news\/wp-content\/uploads\/2024\/06\/image-43.png\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" width=\"655\" height=\"323\" src=\"https:\/\/businesstech.co.za\/news\/wp-content\/uploads\/2024\/06\/image-43.png\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-775273\" srcset=\"https:\/\/businesstech.co.za\/news\/wp-content\/uploads\/2024\/06\/image-43.png 655w, https:\/\/businesstech.co.za\/news\/wp-content\/uploads\/2024\/06\/image-43-300x148.png 300w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 655px) 100vw, 655px\" \/><\/a><\/figure><\/div>\n\n\n<p>Pnet also revealed the most trending jobs that are showing increased demand for workers and professionals: <\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Accounts Payable (Finance)<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p><\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Business Development (Business &amp; Management)<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p><\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Financial \/ Project Accounting (Finance)<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p><\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Vehicle &amp; Mobile Equipment Installation \/ Repair (Cleaning, Maintenance &amp; Repair)<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p><\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Team Leader &amp; Supervisor (Business &amp; Management)<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p>Pnet also looked at sector-specific hiring activity trends, stating that stable and increasing recruitment activity shows confidence in the local economy and business growth. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The top two trading sectors remain the same as in March: <\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li><strong>Architecture &amp; Engineering <\/strong><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p>Despite there being lower hiring activity in the sector in 2024, year-on-year it has increased by +11%<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li><strong>Building &amp; Construction<\/strong><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p>This sector has also seen lower hiring activity in 2024, but demand for professionals has increased by 9% year-on0year. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li><strong>Manufacturing &amp; Assembly<\/strong><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p>2024 has also not been kind to the sector, but hiring activity still jumped by 8% year-on-year.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<hr class=\"wp-block-separator has-alpha-channel-opacity\"\/>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"has-medium-font-size\"><strong>Remote work trends <\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Pnet also revealed the latest job market trends on a regional level, with new information about remote workers. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Pnet said that the top in-demand professionals for remote working positions are found within: <\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Business &amp;
