{"id":7810,"date":"2012-03-14T13:30:30","date_gmt":"2012-03-14T13:30:30","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/businesstech.co.za\/news\/?p=7810"},"modified":"2012-03-14T13:32:09","modified_gmt":"2012-03-14T13:32:09","slug":"vodacom-ordered-to-pay-21m-by-drc-court","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/businesstech.co.za\/news\/telecommunications\/7810\/vodacom-ordered-to-pay-21m-by-drc-court\/","title":{"rendered":"Vodacom ordered to pay $21m by DRC court"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>A court in the Democratic Republic of Congo has ordered South Africa&#8217;s <a title=\"Company Information\" href=\"http:\/\/mybroadband.co.za\/vb\/showthread.php\/227063-Vodacom\">Vodacom<\/a> to pay at least $21 million in unpaid fees to a former consultant, Business Day newspaper said on Friday.<\/p>\n<p>Vodacom, a unit of Britain&#8217;s <a title=\"Company Information\" href=\"http:\/\/mybroadband.co.za\/vb\/showthread.php\/313865-Vodafone-UK\" target=\"_blank\">Vodafone<\/a> Plc, has been locked in a long-standing dispute with its local partner in the DRC, Congolese Wireless Network.
