Clients are advised to trade with caution,\u201d it said.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>On the MyBroadBand forum,&nbsp;<a href=\"https:\/\/mybroadband.co.za\/forum\/threads\/microsoft-outage.1296911\/\">users said<\/a>&nbsp;that at least one major insurer has been affected.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>South Africa&#8217;s largest bank by customer numbers, Capitec, also faced an outage due to problems associated with Crowdstrike. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Capitec has since restored all of its banking services <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\u201cSince early this morning, clients have faced difficulties accessing various banking services, including online banking, mobile app transactions, and card payments,\u201d said Capitec.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\u201cOur tech team has worked quickly to resolve the problem \u2014 we are pleased to report that all our banking has now been fully restored.\u201d <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>It added that its clients&#8217; bank accounts and personal details were unaffected by the incident.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\u201cClient service remains our top priority, and we deeply regret the severe impact this disruption has had on your banking experience,\u201d it added.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\u201cWe sincerely apologise for the inconvenience caused and appreciate your patience and understanding during this challenging time.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Globally, the cyber outage has affected banks, media outlets, emergency services, government departments and airlines. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>In its most recent update, Microsoft said that its impacted services include but are not limited to the following:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>PowerBI: Users may notice that their service is in read-only mode while we address impact.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p><\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Microsoft Fabric: Users may notice that their service is in read-only mode while we address impact.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p><\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Microsoft Teams: Users may be unable to leverage Microsoft Teams functions, including presence, group chats, and user registration.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p><\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Microsoft 365 admin centre: Admins may be intermittently unable to access the Microsoft 365 admin centre, and any action may be delayed if accessible.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p>However, Microsofts internal telemetry and customer signals show that the following services have recovered: <\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Microsoft Defender<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p><\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Microsoft Defender for Endpoint<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p><\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Microsoft Defender Experts<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p><\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Microsoft Intune<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p><\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Microsoft OneNote<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p><\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>OneDrive for Business<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p><\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>SharePoint Online<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p><\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Windows 365<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p><\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Viva Engage<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p><\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Microsoft Purview<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p>&#8220;We&#8217;re continuing to see an improvement in service availability across multiple Microsoft 365 apps and services.
