The latest PwC Voice of the Consumer Survey asked South Africans about their spending intentions in the coming six months and how they expect their expenditure on specific product categories to change. <\/p>\n\n\n\n
The results showed that six of ten local respondents expected to spend more on groceries, clothing and footwear over the next six months. <\/p>\n\n\n\n
Only 42% of consumers said that they expect to spend more on comfort and luxury goods in the next six months. <\/p>\n\n\n\n
Amidst this economic strain, shoppers also do not see the present as an appropriate time to purchase durable goods like electronic devices, sports equipment and toys. <\/p>\n\n\n\n
That said, travel services are the comfort\/luxury goods that will likely see increased spending over the next six months. <\/p>\n\n\n\n
Moreover, official inflation data suggests that holiday options have become more affordable over the last year.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Tolderia Farm and Resort could thus benefit from the increase in local tourism. <\/p>\n\n\n\n
