Last month, Shoprite revealed that CEO Pieter Engelbrecht&#8217;s pay package for the past financial year was R83.272 million, nearly R20 million more than the previous year, including deferred incentives that will vest in two years. On Tuesday (12 November), the rand was trading at R17.96 to the dollar, R23.05 to the pound, and R19.11 to the euro. Oil is trading at $71.76 a barrel.
