It\u2019s a clear indication of the limited financial wellness that\u2019s in the market at the moment. All South Africans are under financial pressure, and they need support.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Utute believes that the Two-Pot claims volumes are a sign of things to come for employers. \u201cEmployees do not have emergency savings, which is why they\u2019re accessing their retirement savings \u2013 despite the long-term damage it does to their retirement outcomes,\u201d he says. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\u201cIt also highlights the need for flexibility in employee benefits. Again, let\u2019s look at retirement savings. As an employer, how do you encourage an employee to contribute 15% of their salary towards their retirement when they can\u2019t make ends meet today?
