The President exercises executive authority together with other members of the cabinet in fulfilling various provisions of the Constitution and national legislation,&#8221; said Ramaphosa. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>&#8220;In order to ensure the effectiveness of cabinet in delivering to its mandate and in accordance with section 91(2) of the Constitution, I have decided to make the following changes to the national executive.&#8221; <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Ramaphosa announced that Mmamoloko Tryphosa Kubayi, currently the Minister of Human Settlements, will become the Minister of Justice and Constitutional Development. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The Minister of Human Settlements will then be occupied by the current Minister of Justice and Constitutional Development Thembi Simelane. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Simelane has been embroiled in controversy, with her alleged luxury lifestyle and links to the now-defunct VBS bank under the spotlight.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-embed is-type-wp-embed is-provider-businesstech wp-block-embed-businesstech\"><div class=\"wp-block-embed__wrapper\">\n<blockquote class=\"wp-embedded-content\" data-secret=\"daeo1GvmUP\"><a href=\"https:\/\/businesstech.co.za\/news\/5-things\/802532\/justice-ministers-alleged-shopping-spree-and-massive-drug-bust\/\">Justice minister&#8217;s alleged shopping spree, and massive drug bust<\/a><\/blockquote><iframe loading=\"lazy\" class=\"wp-embedded-content\" sandbox=\"allow-scripts\" security=\"restricted\" style=\"position: absolute; clip: rect(1px, 1px, 1px, 1px);\" title=\"&#8220;Justice minister&#8217;s alleged shopping spree, and massive drug bust&#8221; &#8212; BusinessTech\" src=\"https:\/\/businesstech.co.za\/news\/5-things\/802532\/justice-ministers-alleged-shopping-spree-and-massive-drug-bust\/embed\/#?secret=8uf4CTKqAM#?secret=daeo1GvmUP\" data-secret=\"daeo1GvmUP\" width=\"500\" height=\"282\" frameborder=\"0\" marginwidth=\"0\" marginheight=\"0\" scrolling=\"no\"><\/iframe>\n<\/div><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p>Furthermore, in accordance with section 93(1) (a) of the Constitution, Ramaphosa said that Phumzile Mgcina would become the  Deputy Minister of Mineral and Petroleum Resources. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Mgcina currently serves as the Deputy Minister of Labour and Employment. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Judith Nemadzinga-Tshabalala will thus move from Deputy Minister of Mineral and Petroleum Resources to Deputy Minister of  Employment and Labour. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\u201cThe changes to the national executive are effective immediately.
