South African e-commerce group, the Takealot Group, has announced the departure of Mamongae Mahlare as Executive Chairperson of the Takealot Group effective the end of December 2024.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Mahlare joined the Group in 2021 as Group Chief Executive Officer, guiding the company through the final stages of the Covid-19 pandemic. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

The group said that, under her leadership, it “achieved significant milestones despite challenging economic conditions”.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

She transitioned to her current role as executive chairman in February 2024.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

“I have had the privilege of working with some of the most talented and dedicated individuals and together we have achieved remarkable milestones and navigated numerous challenges. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

“I am immensely proud of what we have accomplished at Takealot Group and I am confident that the group will continue to thrive under Frederik’s leadership,” said Mahlare. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

“I am excited to see what the future holds for this great company.”<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Takealot group CEO Frederik Zietsman said Mahlare had been an instrumental part of the Takealot Group’s successes and wished her well.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
