With the recent unveiling of the Bentley\u00a0Bentayga SUV, the super-rich can now own a sports utility vehicle without the fear of having to drive\u00a0something as common as a Mercedes-Benz or BMW.<\/p>\n

Bentley says it will “redefine the SUV category” with the\u00a0Bentayga, a market which is expected to grow in the coming years and through which car manufacturers make large margins.<\/p>\n

“In the eyes of Bentley, the Bentayga is not just supremely capable in any environment, it is also supremely comfortable. It will let the world see through new eyes,” said Bentley.<\/p>\n

With this in mind, we decided to look at which SUVs the super-rich would drive if they needed to mount a pavement or two.<\/p>\n

Bentley Bentayga – Test Version<\/p><\/div>\n

The Bentley Bentayga was officially unveiled in early 2015, and is set to go on sale sometime in 2016.<\/p>\n

Reports on pricing peg the\u00a0Bentayga as costing between R2.5 – R3.5 million<\/strong>, and it will initially sell with a W12 (12-cylinder) engine.<\/p>\n

“We want to mark the peak of the SUV segment. It will be the fastest, the most powerful, the most exclusive,” said\u00a0Wolfgang D\u00fcrheimer, Chairman and CEO of Bentley Motors.<\/p>\n

“This sector-defining SUV will be able to introduce Bentley\u2019s renowned modern British luxury to limitless destinations with an impressive combination of on and off road performance,” states\u00a0Bentley.<\/p>\n
