South Africa’s rand was steady in early trading on Friday (7 February) after President Cyril Ramaphosa said his government would launch a second wave of reforms to try to boost economic growth.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
The rand traded at 18.4325 against the dollar, not far from its previous close.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
On Monday (10 February), the rand strengthened slightly, trading at R18.51 to the dollar, R22.95 to the pound and R19.09 to the euro. Oil is trading lower at $75.16 a barrel.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
