Whistleblowers were often treated like lepers and some died in obscurity, she said.

Kadalie said being unpopular in a sea of corruption was not necessarily a bad thing.

More on SA

SA has a strong anti-corruption architecture: Zuma

South Africa is the most miserable country in Africa

R700 billion lost to corruption in South Africa

South Africa less corrupt than last year: index

South Africans need to start saying “we just don’t do that” to create a much-needed culture of morality, human rights activist and columnist Rhoda Kadalie said on Tuesday.

[23
26
post-82171","post","type-post","status-publish","format-standard","has-post-thumbnail","hentry","category-government","tag-headline
["GET
