MTN has added fibre-to-the-home to its coverage map, revealing where the operator plans to launch fibre broadband services in South Africa.<\/p>\n

The coverage map shows that MTN will focus on affluent areas in Cape Town, Johannesburg, Midrand, Pretoria, and Durban.<\/p>\n

MTN connected the first customers to its FTTH offering in June last year, following successful FTTH trials conducted with residents of Monaghan Farm, a gated estate located 30km north of Johannesburg.<\/p>\n

MTN said its FTTH services will initially be rolled out in \u201chigh-density urban areas, such as high-end gated communities, boomed-off suburbs, and high-rise buildings\u201d.<\/p>\n

The company also unveiled its FTTH prices, which range between R794 and R1,389 for speeds between 20Mbps and 100Mbps.<\/p>\n

\u201cYou can choose from 10GB; 20GB; 50GB; 100GB; 500GB data bundles and from 20Mbps, 50Mbps and 100Mbps line speeds,\u201d MTN said.<\/p>\n
