Update<\/strong><\/p>\n

Cell C has identified the problem affecting voice calls on its network.<\/p>\n

\u201cTraffic management between our two major data centres was affected. A resolution has been put in place and customers should already be seeing an improved experience. Full service will be restored shortly,\u201d said Cell C.<\/p>\n

Cell C subscribers around the country are reporting that they are unable to make or receive calls on the network.<\/p>\n

Cell C said it is aware of the issue, and its technicians were working to fix the issue.<\/p>\n

\u201cWe are currently experiencing a call set-up issue which is preventing some calls from going through when customers are dialing a number,\u201d said Cell C.<\/p>\n

\u201cWe apologise for the inconvenience.\u201d<\/p>\n

Users have been reporting problems on the web, including Facebook and Twitter.<\/p>\n

Twitter comment included: \u201cI can\u2019t receive calls on Cell C\u2019s network\u201d; \u201cCan\u2019t make calls, says System Busy\u201d; and \u201cWhat\u2019s wrong with your call centres?\u201d.<\/p>\n

Mobile data connectivity for many users appears to be operating as normal.<\/p>\n

According to the website Downdetector<\/strong><\/a>, Cell C has been experiencing problems since early on Friday morning.<\/p>\n
