{"id":8259,"date":"2012-03-23T15:47:57","date_gmt":"2012-03-23T13:47:57","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/businesstech.co.za\/news\/?p=8259"},"modified":"2012-03-23T16:01:00","modified_gmt":"2012-03-23T14:01:00","slug":"samsung-and-telkom-partner-on-broadband-smart-tv-access","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/businesstech.co.za\/news\/telecommunications\/8259\/samsung-and-telkom-partner-on-broadband-smart-tv-access\/","title":{"rendered":"Samsung and Telkom partner on broadband Smart TV access"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><a title=\"Company Information\" href=\"http:\/\/mybroadband.co.za\/vb\/showthread.php\/333656-Samsung\" target=\"_blank\">Samsung Electronics<\/a> SA today (23 March 2012) announced the initiation of a strategic partnership agreement with <a title=\"Company Information\" href=\"http:\/\/mybroadband.co.za\/vb\/showthread.php\/227037-Telkom\" target=\"_blank\">Telkom<\/a> South Africa, which aims to drive affordable data and the availability of Samsung Smart TVs locally.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cSamsung and Telkom will collaborate in areas that will drive easy access to affordable and bundled data and Samsung\u2019s Smart TV technology which will enable an interconnected home,\u201d Samsung said in a press statement.<\/p>\n<p>This partnership will see Samsung and Telkom co-operate in the marketing of Samsung Smart TVs and fixed-line broadband solutions as bundled packages.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cWe are excited to align ourselves with a consumer electronics brand that also understands market needs.
