{"id":827661,"date":"2025-06-10T18:03:40","date_gmt":"2025-06-10T16:03:40","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/businesstech.co.za\/news\/?p=827661"},"modified":"2025-09-01T14:35:19","modified_gmt":"2025-09-01T12:35:19","slug":"takealot-expands-its-one-hour-delivery-service-in-south-africa","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/businesstech.co.za\/news\/business\/827661\/takealot-expands-its-one-hour-delivery-service-in-south-africa\/","title":{"rendered":"Takealot expands its one-hour delivery service in South Africa"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p>TakealotNOW is expanding to more suburbs in Gauteng, with the Naspers-owned retailer now offering the one-hour delivery service to the East Rand.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Launched in July 2023, TakealotNOW started as a pilot project in Cape Town&#8217;s northern suburbs, offering a range of deliveries within minutes via the Mr D app.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The service has since been expanded to the greater Cape Town region, Johannesburg, and Pretoria, and plans are to continue expanding to more areas as demand increases.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The service operates daily from 08h00 to 20h00 and offers a wide assortment of everyday essentials and premium products beyond just simple groceries.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The product selections are curated based on purchase behaviour across suburbs, and offers shoppers goods such as tech, DIY tools, books, beauty essentials, pet food and more.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\u201cWe understand our customer needs when it comes to speed of delivery and convenience,&#8221;
