Takealot says it will be rolling out more delivery pickup points at Pick n Pay supermarkets this year, expecting to hit a total network of 36 stores by the end of 2025.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
The online retailer piloted the pickup points at two stores in 2023, and has since expanded to 30 locations across the country.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
It is now in the process of expanding the services further, adding six more locations by the end of the year.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
The group said the service has proved highly successful. Shoppers can collect their Takealot orders while running errands or doing grocery shopping.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
It said that between February and May 2025, collections at Pick n Pay-based Takealot Pickup Points doubled. <\/p>\n\n\n\n
The service now processes over 14,000 collections per month and draws over 45,000 unique customers.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Takealot pickup points are located inside select Pick n Pay stores, near the customer service kiosks.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
To use the service, shoppers select a participating Pick n Pay store during checkout, wait for a collection notification, and then collect their packages during regular trading hours. <\/p>\n\n\n\n
Takealot noted that most orders qualify for collection, except bulkier items.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
It said that the most common items being delivered through the service tend to be smaller consumables, including health and wellness items.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
The group said popular baskets include vitamins, skincare, and women\u2019s health products, reflecting the service catering to everyday needs.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Pick n Pay said that the service and partnership form part of its goal of making shopping more convenient.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
