{"id":83429,"date":"2015-03-25T10:47:24","date_gmt":"2015-03-25T08:47:24","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/businesstech.co.za\/news\/?p=83429"},"modified":"2015-03-25T10:57:02","modified_gmt":"2015-03-25T08:57:02","slug":"eskom-blackouts-cost-south-africa-r80-billion-per-month","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/businesstech.co.za\/news\/trending\/83429\/eskom-blackouts-cost-south-africa-r80-billion-per-month\/","title":{"rendered":"Eskom blackouts cost South Africa R80 billion per month"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Power cuts implemented by Eskom costs South Africa&#8217;s economy between $1.7 billion (R20 billion) and $6.8 billion (R80.1 billion) a month, Reuters has reported.<\/p>\n<p>The news agency cited a presentation by the department of public enterprises to parliament on Wednesday (25 March).<\/p>\n<p>&#8220;Load shedding between stages 1 and 3 costs the economy anywhere between 20 billion rand ($1.69 billion) to 80 billion rand per month,&#8221;
