On 2 October, the airline will introduce flights from Cape Town to Hoedspruit’s Eastgate Airport, opening up easier access to one of South Africa’s most iconic safari destinations.

The route will operate three times a week, on Tuesdays, Thursdays, and Saturdays, with fares starting from R1,570.

According to FlySafair, this new service will enhance access to the central Kruger region and the wider Limpopo province, complementing the existing route to Mbombela.

Hoedspruit, located near the central Kruger and bordering Limpopo, is surrounded by private game reserves, making it a major draw for international and domestic tourists.

Mbombela, the capital of Mpumalanga, already serves as a key entry point to the southern Kruger region.

FlySafair will also increase the frequency of its Cape Town to Kruger Mpumalanga International Airport service from October, moving to daily flights.

Gordon noted that this change will provide “even more flexibility and convenience to passengers wishing to visit the Lowveld, whether for business or leisure.”

These latest additions follow a string of new routes the airline has rolled out this year. In March, it began operating daily flights between Lanseria and George, with departures at 10h10 and arrivals at 12h20.

George, a small Western Cape town known for its charm and relaxed pace, is a gateway to the wider Garden Route.

Golfers are especially spoilt in this area, which has a wide range of world-renowned courses between Mossel Bay and Plettenberg Bay.

The airport is also the closest air link to popular destinations such as Knysna, Groot Brak, and Oudtshoorn, making it a key hub for leisure travellers.

Gordon stressed that the airline’s goal is not only to grow its footprint but also to serve as a reliable connector between people and places.

“This expansion is part of our ongoing mission to connect more South Africans to the places and people they love,” he said.

With its new Eastern Cape services, the Hoedspruit launch, and additional Kruger flights, the airline is giving South Africans more choice when it comes to exploring the country.

FlySafair has expanded its network and announced the launch of two new routes in South Africa.

[9876
10020,853
post-835902","post","type-post","status-publish","format-standard","has-post-thumbnail","hentry","category-lifestyle","tag-flysafair","tag-south-africa
["GET
