{"id":84363,"date":"2015-04-07T15:15:40","date_gmt":"2015-04-07T13:15:40","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/businesstech.co.za\/news\/?p=84363"},"modified":"2015-04-07T15:15:40","modified_gmt":"2015-04-07T13:15:40","slug":"stage-1-load-shedding-hits","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/businesstech.co.za\/news\/trending\/84363\/stage-1-load-shedding-hits\/","title":{"rendered":"Stage 1 load shedding hits"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Eskom has announced that stage 1 load shedding will be implemented from 16h00 to 22h00 on Tuesday (7 April).<\/p>\n<p>This, it said, is due to a shortage of generation capacity.<\/p>\n<p>Earlier on Tuesday, Eskom said that power would remain under pressure for the entire week.<\/p>\n<p>An Eskom spokesperson told News24 that the use of heaters over the chilly Easter weekend had placed an &#8220;unnecessary burden&#8221; on the grid.<\/p>\n<p>The group\u00a0called on customers to delay using heaters,\u00a0as\u00a0full-on winter was still two months away.<\/p>\n<p>Load shedding schedules are available on its <a title=\"http:\/\/loadshedding.eskom.co.za\u00a0\" href=\"http:\/\/loadshedding.eskom.co.za\u00a0\" target=\"_blank\">load shedding website\u00a0for Eskom customers<\/a>.
