Much of this value is tied to Tencent, a Chinese technology giant and the world\u2019s largest video game maker.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Naspers also has a complex cross-ownership structure with Amsterdam-based Prosus, which is valued at R2.7 trillion.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\u201cWe are only just beginning to build Prosus into a global tech leader and, to get there, we must stay relentlessly focused on delivering results,\u201d said CEO Fabricio Bloisi.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The group said that its goal is to unlock substantial value by building large regional lifestyle ecommerce ecosystems in Latin America, Europe,&nbsp;and India.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The group\u2019s businesses now serve about 2 billion customers worldwide and span nearly 100 companies with complementary capabilities.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The group sees significant headroom to continue to grow strongly while expanding profit margins.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>In its financial results for the six months ended 30 September 2025, the group invested S$2.0 billion through mergers and acquisitions (M&amp;A) to increase profitability.\u00a0<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>This includes the acquisition of Just Eat Takeaway.com, for approximately EUR4.2 billion (R83 billion).&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\u201cThe acquisition advances our ambition to build a European lifestyle ecosystem and create an AI technology champion in Europe,\u201d said the group.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\u201cWe remain disciplined in managing our portfolio by divesting non-strategic businesses and allocating that capital towards our ecosystem strategy.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Financials&nbsp;<\/h2>\n\n\n<div class=\"wp-block-image\">\n<figure class=\"aligncenter size-large\"><a  data-lightbox=\"post-image\" href=\"https:\/\/businesstech.co.za\/news\/wp-content\/uploads\/2024\/05\/image-39-e1740381493864.png\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" width=\"1024\" height=\"577\" src=\"https:\/\/businesstech.co.za\/news\/wp-content\/uploads\/2024\/05\/image-39-e1740381493864-1024x577.png\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-772430\" srcset=\"https:\/\/businesstech.co.za\/news\/wp-content\/uploads\/2024\/05\/image-39-e1740381493864-1024x577.png 1024w, https:\/\/businesstech.co.za\/news\/wp-content\/uploads\/2024\/05\/image-39-e1740381493864-300x169.png 300w, https:\/\/businesstech.co.za\/news\/wp-content\/uploads\/2024\/05\/image-39-e1740381493864-768x433.png 768w, https:\/\/businesstech.co.za\/news\/wp-content\/uploads\/2024\/05\/image-39-e1740381493864.png 1200w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 1024px) 100vw, 1024px\" \/><\/a><figcaption class=\"wp-element-caption\">Fabricio Bloisi, Naspers and Prosus CEO<\/figcaption><\/figure><\/div>\n\n\n<p>In October, the group completed a five-for-one share split, which had an impact on earnings per share.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The group\u2019s consolidated revenue increased 20% to US$4.1 billion, driven by strong growth from iFood in Latin America (LatAm), OLX in Europe, and PayU in India.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The group\u2019s earnings from continuing operations increased to <strong>US$2.4 billion (R41.54 billion) from US$2.0 billion (R34.62 billion)<\/strong> in the prior period.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>This increase was primarily due to increased profitability in consolidated and equity-accounted results, primarily from Tencent.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>There was also an increased gain on the partial disposal of the investment in Tencent.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Core headline earnings from continuing operations were&nbsp;
