Bondev, the developer behind the successful Midstream Estate, is building a new shopping centre featuring a play area half the size of a rugby field.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The new centre, Shopping on Eastway, will serve the affluent Midstream Estates community<\/a>, featuring Woolworths, Checkers, and other high-end stores.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Bondev explained that the centre was designed with the latest trends in mind, focusing on sustainability, modern architecture, and innovative retail solutions.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Shopping on Eastway has a strong focus on family and will feature a children\u2019s play area where children can explore, create, and develop essential skills.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Maureen van Zyl wrote that the play area, the centrepiece of the new shopping centre, will feature climbing structures, slides, and crawling spaces.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cThe play area has been carefully conceptualised to offer far more than simple entertainment,\u201d Van Zyl wrote.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cEvery element has been designed with children\u2019s enjoyment in mind. Crawling spaces encourage exploration, while swings and interactive features keep children thrilled.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n

What sets the Shopping on Eastway play area apart is its water play zone. Its features simulate waterfalls and meadow-like streams.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The water features will only be available during warmer summer months, transforming into dry, open spaces in winter.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The area is positioned between restaurants to make it easy for parents to watch their children while they play.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cThe layout ensures that children can experience a sense of independence, all while knowing that mom and dad are just steps away,\u201d Van Zyl wrote.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Shopping on Eastway will offer many dining options, including Doppio Zero, Bossa, Calisto\u2019s, and Kauai.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The new precinct will also feature a modern office block that stands adjacent to the retail shopping centre.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The architects, ARC Pretoria, said that the new development will offer unparalleled access to dining, wellness, and retail amenities.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Shopping on Eastway is currently under construction and is expected to launch in October 2026.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
