Babylonstoren, across four seasons, now carries it forward,” said the hotel group.

The series includes four dinners, one for each season, starting with the Autumn Harvest, which took place on April 22, and features a menu dedicated to the Season of the Olive.

It is noted that Executive Chef Rudi Liebenberg has collaborated with the staff at Babylonstoren to craft a menu that highlights the farm’s harvest in each course.

Guests should anticipate oysters drizzled in Coratina extra virgin olive oil, paired with the farm’s esteemed Sprankel Cap Classique.

Additionally, the menu will include highlights such as the Trout Mi Cuit and Ricotta Agnolotti, both of which incorporate Babylonstoren’s sun-dried tomato and olive crumb.

The Fire-Roasted Beef Rump is presented alongside a beef cheek and truffle bone marrow pithivier.

“Set within the hotel’s private dining space, the Yellow Room, each evening is designed to reflect a dialogue between producer and place, where the team at Four Seasons interprets the essence of each partner through a distinctly Johannesburg lens,” said Four Seasons Hotel.

The hotel group said that each of the four dinners will be created in accordance with what the farm and the cellar have to offer at that specific moment of the season.

The produce will be harvested directly from Babylonstoren’s garden, and the wines will be selected by “cellar master” Klaas Stoffberg.

“These events offer a unique opportunity to experience the vibrant, locally inspired cuisine at Flames, while allowing me to pair my passion for wine with thoughtfully curated menus that complement the exceptional offerings from Babylonstoren,” said the chef.

Liebenberg said that seasonal produce from the farm makes his creative process more rewarding. “I look forward to delivering a distinctive and innovative experience with each event we host,”
