Oil prices fell by about 3% following a ceasefire agreement between Israel and Lebanon.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>This raised hopes for a broader resolution to the US-Israeli conflict with Iran that could lead to the reopening of the Strait of Hormuz.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>On the Johannesburg Stock Exchange, the Top-40 index was down by 0.6%.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>On Friday, 5 June, the rand was trading at R16.33 to the dollar, R21.92 to the pound, and R18.96 to the euro.
