Shilowa explained that strong recovery in passenger activity and financial performance was achieved even as the industry faced persistent infrastructure, capacity and operational pressures.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
As a result, the past year emphasised the value of disciplined execution, resilient systems, and sustained investment in South Africa\u2019s airport network moving forward.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u201cDespite economic volatility and geopolitical uncertainty, the medium-term aviation outlook remains constructive,\u201d Shilowa said.<\/p>\n\n\n\n ACSA attributed much of its success to the excellence of South Africa\u2019s numerous regional and international airports.<\/p>\n\n\n\n South Africa\u2019s major airports continued to thrive most notable with Cape Town International Airport winning its 11th consecutive Skytrax Best Airport in Africa award.<\/p>\n\n\n\n The Cape Town airport also won Best Airport Staff in Africa and Cleanest Airport in Africa, and is estimated to have contributed R2.7 billion in Gross Domestic Product (GDP) to its surrounding region.<\/p>\n\n\n\n O.R.
