This was chiefly thanks to a 5.6% increase in net interest income, combined with a 21.7% increase in operating income and 7.8% increase in the bank\u2019s asset base.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Along with this, the bank reported massive increases in its developmental impact over the last five years, including:<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\n- 100 infrastructure master plans completed<\/li>\n\n\n\n
- R19 billion total disbursements to metros\/M2\/M3<\/li>\n\n\n\n
- R152 million capacity-building grants disbursed<\/li>\n\n\n\n
- R13.7 billion infrastructure unlocked in under-resourced municipalities<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n
Additionally, the DBSA reported considerable results from its social initiatives, such as:<\/p>\n\n\n\n

- 34,196 learners benefited<\/li>\n\n\n\n
