In the past year I have felt extremely frustrated by the lack of clarity regarding these claims which meant I was unable to resolve them. Having now received full discovery of the allegations being made, I am finally in a position to study the detail and will respond accordingly.

The three charges all relate to the license plate, one of fraud and two others related to the Road Traffic Act. I want you to know that I vehemently deny any intention to defraud any person or organisation. All necessary representations will be made to progress this matter.

I will continue to fully cooperate with the authorities so this matter may be correctly resolved. I will keep you informed of developments.

Best regards,
Sipho

In July Telkom responded to queries about the issue, saying that it is a matter “that is personal to Mr Maseko and is in no way related to Telkom”.

“As such, Maseko will deal with it in his personal capacity,” said Telkom.

More on Telkom

Telkom CEO in court over cloned plate fraud claims: report

E-tolls blamed for the rise in cloned plates

Telkom CEO speaks out on cloned number plates

Telkom CEO investigated for cloned number plates

Telkom CEO cloned plate case heads to court: report

[21
26,2414,65
post-92438","post","type-post","status-publish","format-standard","has-post-thumbnail","hentry","category-telecommunications","tag-headline","tag-sipho-maseko","tag-telkom
["GET
